Woorage Neighbourhood Watch pushes ahead

- By CORAL COOKSLEY

AS Wooragee Neighbourhood Watch continues to ramp up its efforts to attract more residents in the area they gathered for a social get together last month with a picnic at the local hall complex.

Secretary Neil Townsend said the meet-up had been a great opportunity for new residents to get to know the locals as well as community members catching up with each other.

With the group working together in continuing to promote the organisation, an AGM that followed a week later discussed the new community policing and engagement practice by Victorian police that began to roll out mid-last year.
