Bill Shorten to have a beverage in Beechworth
SHADOW Minister for NDIS and Government Services Bill Shorten will visit Beechworth on Thursday, March 17 alongside Labor candidate for Indi Nadia David.
The pair will attend a ‘Beechworth Beverage with Bill‘ event at Beechworth‘s Nicholas Hotel.
It will follow Mr Shorten and Ms David‘s visit to Benalla earlier in the day, and precede their visit to Wodonga the day after to discuss NDIS and service issues with key stakeholders.
“Bill‘s investment of two days in Indi is a real indication of how seriously Labor takes our campaign to win this seat,” Ms David said.
“North East Victoria needs a member in government who will take action to make the lives of Indi‘s residents better.
“We need a strong Labor Government to implement real policies, real improvements and a real plan for the future – I want to be part of that.”
Shadow Assistant Minister for Health and Ageing, Ged Kearney MP will also visit Indi on March 23.
