THIS YEAR’S Lights on the Hill Memorial Convoy Weekend will head back to its old stomping grounds of the Gatton Showgrounds in south- east Queensland.

The showgrounds was the former home of the long-running event up to and including 2014 before switching to the Gatton Racecourse in 2015.

Lights on the Hill organisers say the convoy weekend is going “back to basics”.

“We took a lot of feedback from the attendees and the local community to come to this decision,” the committee says.

“We are very happy with a whole new layout for the event within the Gatton Showgrounds and we are sure the public will enjoy the weekend.

“We always take feedback and we aim to please those that attend our events.”

The convoy day will be held on Saturday, September 30, with the Memorial Service taking place at Lake Apex Part, Gatton on Sunday, October 1.

Live music will feature on both days, plus the NRL Grand Final will be shown on the big LED screen on Sunday.
