THE CHINA Petrochemical Corporation, better known as the Sinopec Group, has launched the new generation Tulux T700 diesel engine oil. Sinopec claims its T700 engine oil is the most advanced formulation designed to meet heavy duty diesel engines fitted with EGR, SCR+DPF and FE exhaust emissions systems in compliance with the strict Euro V & VI or Australian ADR 80/02 and 80/03 requirements.

The CK-4 15W-40 uses Sinopec’s synthetic technology with hydrocracked high viscosity index base oils in combination with superior low SAPS additive packages to deliver what is reported to be long life performance protection.

Sinopec says the Tulux T700 is ideal for diesel engines operating continuously under very high speed, high temperature or high load conditions, including on and off-highway applications – long-haul trucks, buses, mining, construction, agriculture and marine, in the world’s most arduous conditions.

According to Sinopec, the T700 is approved for use in all major engine manufacturers across Australia, including the Volvo Group, Cummins, Detroit, Caterpillar, Daimler and MAN.

In addition, Sinopec Tulux T700 is said to be fully backwards compatible in older heavy duty diesel engines using conventional technologies without exhaust after treatment systems.

Sinopec says its new generation formulation is a significant step-up from its predecessor, the T600 range, and offers reduced coking, lower coefficient of friction and longer oxidisation time.
