Papercraft Inspirations - - DIE-CUTTING -

Sue Cass

Q Tell us about your lovely apron card!

A I cut the card blank to shape and covered with patterned paper, then added a continuous piece of ribbon to make ties and neck straps, adding die-cut shapes to finish. This one is quite nostalgic as I also included an old recipe, and trimmed it with lace!

Q Do you have any other ideas that you think would work for your design?

A This recipe apron would work well on a journal page alongside photos of homemade apple pie!

Q How did you create your card?

A I splashed gold and bronze paint onto my backing panel, distressed the edges with brown ink and die cut two toaster apertures. I then secured acetate behind the toaster apertures to create two mini shaker elements! Q What is your top tip for this make?

A If you don’t have any acetate, use clear packaging, it really works! Draw funny expressions or write short messages on the slices of bread and use blending markers to achieve a professional effect with your colouring.
