Meet the New Gang

Different from the Old Gang

-

This issue, the last of 2017 sees a new tech team step up to the plate for PCPP. Rather than talk them up again, we thought we’d let them introduce themselves (in third-person bio form).

Anthony Agius

Anthony Agius loves everything to do with technology, there’s no area that doesn’t fascinate him. You may know him as decryption on the Overclockers Australia forums or on various forms of social media. A former Mac, Windows and Linux systems administrator, he’s always been knee deep in tech gear, looking to find the best bang for buck items out there. No piece of hardware is off limits for Anthony to pass judgement on. Once upon a time he ran a cryptocurrency mining farm in his shed that he naively decommissioned way before the price of Bitcoin skyrocketed and now has nothing to show for it. Anthony also publishes an email newsletter called The Sizzle, filled with tech news every afternoon and when not writing about technology, dreams about the North Melbourne Kangaroos winning an AFL Premiership.

Chris Szewczyk

Chris is a lifelong geek and started tinkering with his first PC at age 10. After leaving university with a hangover and little else, he began his career as a bricks and mortar PC salesman, fondly recalling many inventive attempts to claim refunds and witnessing exactly what cat hair can do to a PC.

He became a competitive overclocking addict, venturing into the use of phase change and liquid nitrogen cooling and spending a fortune in the process before realizing that baked beans and coke zero do not adequately cover the five food groups.

He’s been writing about PC components on and off since 2010 and spent five years handling the technical marketing for a major PC component manufacturer in Australia.

He loves travel and bar hopping in far flung exotic locales. He’s a Formula One tragic and is highly skilled at creating excuses to avoid family gatherings when the F1 is on.
