SUPER RETRO HORROR GAME WORLD OF HORROR HITTING PC NEXT YEAR

Old Gods? Check. Japanese seaside? Check. Apocalypse? OH YOU BET CHECK.

A year or two ago I think someone must have left a copy of the collected works of HP Lovecraft on a table at E3 or something, because we are getting a whole metric mystic crapload of Lovecraftian horror games right now. And they’re a really diverse bunch, as WORLD OF HORROR shows.

There’s retro, and then there’s grey-scale pixel art with matching chiptunes. And World of Horror (yelling is so tiring), still looks super scary.

“I set out to create something that illustrates just how vulnerable one’s sanity can be,” said Pawel Kozminski, founder of Panstasz. “I want WORLD OF HORROR to haunt players in a way that creates an uncomfortable sense of apprehension, something that slowly builds uneasiness and anxiety through atmosphere and the uncanny.”

Because more anxiety is just what we need in 2018!

World of Horror hits PC and console sometime next year.
