Astroneer’s been in Early Access since 2016, but it’s finally getting a full release next year, and it’s looking like a compelling take on space exploration and open world gaming. It sounds more than a little like No Man’s Sky, but without that game’s ambitious scope. In Astroneer you can play with up to three other people, build and share bases, and explore a mysterious solar system.

“Astroneer reflects on the legacy of human space exploration and imagines the future,” says System Era Softworks communications director Joe Tirado. “We want to inspire a sense of wonder and reverence for the beautiful universe we live in, while promoting ideals such as creativity, tackling adversity and outside-the-box thinking.”
