Elden: Path of the Forgotten

Okay, sure, the game’s first press release opens with a HP Lovecraft quote, so you know this game will either be a) full of horrors from beyond the mortal world, b) vaguely racist, and/or c) some combination thereof. Since the game is more Lovecraftian than actual Lovecraft, we’re guessing option a at this point. Set in a delightfully atmospheric medieval setting, players must battle ancient monstrosities and avoid getting lost in an unforgiving world. The combat is very reactive, and more than a little on the hard side… but who said beating a cut-price Cthulhu would be easy?
