ENDURING LEGACY

For something like a decade, the phrase “but can it run Crysis?” was the standard gag response to anyone boasting about the power of their PC. Crysis became PC’s answer to the Mac’s “sure those are good graphics, but did you ever play Myst?” except, you know, Crysis actually had good realtime graphics.

Crysis was the game that helped benchmark whole generations of PC hardware.
