The early origins of Underlords
This is what the game looked like in February 2019 – the first working prototype that would become Dota Underlords. Even as it launched into a public beta, Underlords had no fully defined aesthetic principles. The finished game takes Valve’s Dota aesthetics to new levels – quite literally. The varied environments of the city of Whitespire are compact, detailed, and aesthetically pleasing in motion.
