CRUSADER KINGS III

CHARACTERS WILL HAVE RPG-STYLE PROGRESSION, AS WILL THE DYNASTIES THEY HAIL FROM
The sequel to Paradox’s enduring grand strategy RPG has big shoes to fill, what with its predecessor giving us nearly a decade of weird medieval drama and murder. So much murder. It looks promising, though, with the developers leaning into its RPG proclivities even more. Characters will have RPG-style progression, as will the dynasties they hail from, and deviating too much from your ruler’s personality could make them snap.
Crusader Kings II has evolved and grown over years, but it looks like we won’t need to give much of it up. CKIII will include most of its predecessor’s features, including all the religions and cultures playable from the start, and the map’s four times the size. It covers the same geographic areas, but the whole thing has been hugely expanded with new detail and less abstraction.
