Brian Dal­li­son’s su­perb Corsa E gets bet­ter ev­ery time we see it, pri­mar­ily due to his de­ter­mi­na­tion to up­date and up­grade ev­ery as­pect of the Vauxhall pocket rocket, a VXR he’s owned from new. “I bought the car in 2016,” he says. “I ab­so­lutely loved the model’s seats and recog­nised the Corsa E as one of the best new­est Vaux­halls to play with when it comes to mod­i­fy­ing.” He’s proved the point by al­low­ing var­i­ous re­spected af­ter­mar­ket tun­ing equip­ment sup­pli­ers to use the car as a de­vel­op­ment tool en­abling the de­sign and man­u­fac­ture of parts avail­able to all. For ex­am­ple, Brian’s Corsa is one of the first cars to make use of EBC’s much talked about Apollo big brake sys­tem. Other cool kit in­cludes a three-inch turbo-back Scorpion ex­haust, AP Racing coilovers, Bola B1 wheels, Nankang black cir­cles, CM Com­pos­ites ca­nards, a match­ing front split­ter, a Russ White gauge pod, bon­net vents and cus­tom vinyl ap­plied by Venom Wraps high­light­ing Brian’s spon­sor­ship from en­ergy drinks com­pany, Xcite Racing. “I’m aim­ing for 400bhp,” he re­veals, point­ing out JS Per­for­mance sil­i­cone hoses, an En­hance Per­for­mance in­take and a Ra­mair air fil­ter be­fore telling us he’s added Piper camshafts, a big­ger tur­bocharger and 600cc fuel in­jec­tors to his ever-length­en­ing shop­ping list.
