UK, India fake meds collaboration
BRITAIN’S Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) will work together with India’s Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) to target regions suspected of sending unlicensed medicines into the UK.
“Rapid mutual intelligence-sharing will help to combat the illegal cross-border trade in medicines,” according to a statement issued following a meeting in Delhi.
Recently the DRI intercepted over 350,000 diazepam, Tramadol and Zopiclone tablets destined for the UK, European and US markets.
