Fake nurse fine

A MAN who presented himself as a registered nurse to get a job as the nursing director of a Victorian agedcare facility would have been jailed by Ringwood Magistrates’ Court had new penalties applied.

The Court fined the man a total of $60,000 and ordered to pay costs of $4,000 to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, after pleading guilty to four counts of unlawfully representing himself as a registered nurse.
