THE European Union and the USA have now fully implemented their Mutual Recognition Agreement for inspections of manufacturing sites for certain human medicines in their territories.

The milestone follows recognition of Slovakia by the US FDA, with a new “batch testing waiver” also now in force - see ema.europa.eu.
