Shot of the day!
I had such a great day with David, he taught me so much. This shot of the rocky ridges leading out to sea at Welcombe Mouth beach was shot before the Hot Shots on the previous page as the sun was still setting, creating the wonderful colours in the sky and reflections in the waters. An ND Grad held back the light in the sky and an 8 second exposure has blurred the moving waters as they waves rolled in and out.
Jess proved to be a very capable amateur photographer and shows real potential. She only need a little help setting up her Canon camera, and just needed to improve her compositional skills a bit. She’s used many of the techniques she’d learnt on the day and has grabbed a great shot with the perfect balanced exposure and focusing, and the shutter speed is just right – any slower and the waters would be too blurry.
