Ask your subject to look to the light and learn how to transform background highlights into beautiful bokeh
Often street lighting comes from above, so an upwards tilt of the chin can make light fall in a more flattering way across the face. Ask your subject to angle their body towards the light and lift their face towards it – small changes are often best. shooting at f/2.8, lights and other small spots of light, will be altered into rich bokeh when out-of-focus. A longer lens means a compressed perspective and larger vivid spots. Use longer focal lengths and if needed take a few steps back and zoom in.
