Phone lighting

you don’t necessarily need to use expensive led or flash for nighttime portraits. the beauty is that we don’t need a high output of light, because we need to balance the light added to our subject with the existing light in our scene. even a phone torch can be useful. it can add welcome illumination to the subject, and also creates little catch lights in their eyes. the main problem is the colour of the light from a phone torch is usually quite cold compared to the surroundings, that often have a much warmer colour temperature.
