When shoot­ing in bright sun­light there will of­ten be sides of the pool that are in shade, while oth­ers are hit by the sun. If you shoot into the shady end of the pool the back­drop will be darker and more moody, and the back­lit bub­bles will stand out.

Why not try sup­ple­ment­ing the day­light with a cou­ple of pow­er­ful LEDS? We used two Lume Cubes, which are fully wa­ter­proof. On a bright day they can pro­vide a fill light for close ups. On a cloudy day or in the evening, the re­sults can be dra­matic.
