I went for a vertical composition here and bracketed my exposures to reveal detail in the bright sky compared to the darker foreground. I used Live View to focus and compose, and the Live View histogram to set my exposure. Then I shot at f/22 for maximum depth of field, then half pressing shutter button, and adjusted the shutter speed until the histogram wasn’t clipped off the right edge. While other newer lenses are sharper and better, I find my EF 16-35mm f/2.8l Mk II lens is a great, versatile ultra wide-angle lenses, and still does the best sunstars!
