HOT SHOT #3
We wanted to include one of trees around the field in shot. The sun was bright by now, so we got in close and used the tree to block the direct light for the best composition. Using a wide-angle focal length of 16mm down low meant we could fill our foreground with lavender. Shooting straight into the sun, even though it was blocked, meant light levels were high so even at f/16 my exposure was 1/800 sec to expose for the brighter sky, then in Lightroom I brightened the lavender field.
