RGB histogram
IF Colour detail is important to your picture, use your camera’s RGB histogram rather than the brightness histogram to assess the exposure. The RGB histogram gives an indication of the intensity of the three primary colours – red, green and blue – that make up the final image. If one of the colour histograms is ‘clipped’ on the right, it means that the colour will be over-saturated. You can’t always tell this from the brightness histogram, as it’s closer in size and shape as the histogram for the green channel.
