Cam­era shake doesn’t have to reg­is­ter on the Richter scale to cre­ate blurred pho­tos; even the vi­bra­tions caused by an EOS DSLR’S mir­ror mov­ing up and down be­tween shots can be the dif­fer­ence be­tween a sharp ‘keeper’ and a fuzzy re­ject. This is why Canon in­cludes a Mir­ror lockup func­tion in a num­ber of its DSLRS. This can be ac­ti­vated in the Cus­tom Func­tions menu or in the red Shoot­ing menu of mod­els like the 5D Mark IV.
