PIVOT Point

When you use the rotate tool, either independently or as part of Free Transform, by default the image will rotate around a pivot point in the centre of the image. Sometimes, though, you might want to pivot from a point that isn’t in the centre – such as if your subject is positioned towards the edge of the frame. The good news is that you can move the pivot point to anywhere in the image; just hold Option/alt (on Mac or PC respectively) while clicking and dragging the centre point to change where the rotation pivots from.
