How To Control depth of field

-

With our camera fixed to a tripod we have the freedom to use a long shutter speed. not only does this allow us to use a low iso for less image noise, it also means we can use whichever aperture suits our subject. the narrower the aperture, the shallower the depth of field. So we can take test shots while tweaking the aperture to determine the right depth of field for our miniature scene. here we wanted enough sharpness to cover our doll subject and his surroundings – which worked out at f/9.
