On the EOS 7D Mark II the lock switch doesn’t appear to lock any controls. Surely it should lock all of them?

Brian Says… The EOS 7D Mark II lock switch usually locks the quick control dial on the back of the camera to avoid exposure compensation or aperture being changed when you carry the camera. The lock switch can be configured to lock several controls together, or no controls at all.

Look at your camera’s settings in the custom functions, on the third tab you will find the multi lock – this is where you choose which control to lock. On the EOS 7D Mark II, you can lock the main dial, quick control dial, multi-controller or AF area selection lever. That or the switch may be damaged.
