I have the EOS 4000D, and wonder what I need to do to get it to work with my friend’s studio flashes?
Brian Says… You’ve found one of the restrictions of the EOS 4000D and the EOS 2000D. When you look at the hotshoe on top of the camera there’s no centre connection. This means the camera won’t work with any trigger or flash unless it’s a Canon specific one. You may need to use it to put a small budget dedicated flash on the hotshoe and use it to trigger the studio lights utilizing their optical slave cell.
