I have one camera, so why does Digital photo professional use different noise reduction settings for my pictures?
Brian Says… Digital Photo Professional uses more of the metadata in each image to determine the optimum processing settings for your shots. When you shoot a Raw image, the camera adds information, including how your camera has the high ISO noise reduction settings.
Using this extended information, and the manufacturers own knowledge of the image sensor and processing possible in-camera, DPP selects the optimum settings for noise reduction automatically.
If you have turned off high ISO noise reduction in your camera settings, you can turn on the noise reduction in DPP. DPP does a great job for most shots with standard noise reduction, so make sure to leave noise reduction turned on in your camera to get better results without having to do any extra work.
