THE winner IS... CANON EOS 7D Mk II
Better, faster, more! The 7D Mark II romps ahead of the pack
It’s quite something that a camera nearly five years old can hold its own against newer models. Sure, it doesn’t have the highest megapixel count or the latest-generation image processors, but it’s well built, has super-fast performance, astonishing autofocus and metering accuracy, and delivers spectacular image quality even under the most demanding conditions.
Some may prefer a few more megapixels to play with and, for excellent performance on a tighter budget, the 80D is hard to beat as an all-rounder. We prefer this camera to the newer 77D, for its enhanced handling and better control layout. Even so, the 77D is a superb compact DSLR that’s more enthusiast-friendly than the 800D. For beginners and those wanting to keep costs to a minimum, the 800D is the DSLR of choice, and a better buy than the 2000D.
