Link found to meth-ac­cused

A po­lice in­ves­ti­ga­tion into the sup­ply of drugs into Tom Price has re­sulted in the ar­rest of two lo­cal women on charges of in­tent to sell or sup­ply metham­phetamine.

Last week Tom Price po­lice charged a 33-year-old woman with pos­ses­sion of meth with in­tent to sell or sup­ply, af­ter she was al­legedly found with a sub­stan­tial amount of the drug in the Mid West.

She was re­manded in cus­tody. It comes sev­eral months af­ter an­other woman, also in her early 30s, was charged with 19 counts of of­fer­ing to sell or sup­ply meth in Septem­ber.

The women are known to each other.

The lo­cal po­lice op­er­a­tion has been run­ning since March.

Tom Price po­lice Se­nior Con­sta­ble Chris For­rest said the use of meth could be es­pe­cially dev­as­tat­ing in small re­gional com­mu­ni­ties and po­lice were al­ways work­ing to get it off the streets.
