YMAC per­for­mance to go un­der re­view

The body rep­re­sent­ing na­tive ti­tle in the Pilbara, Ya­matji Marlpa Abo­rig­i­nal Cor­po­ra­tion, is hav­ing its op­er­a­tions re­viewed for the De­part­ment of Prime Min­is­ter and Cab­i­net.

Along with the Kim­ber­ley Land Coun­cil, it is one of six na­tive ti­tle rep­re­sen­ta­tive bod­ies and ser­vice providers be­ing ex­am­ined.

Ac­cord­ing to the Perth-based man­age­ment con­sul­tant con­duct­ing the re­view, NoUS Group, it is to as­cer­tain how ef­fec­tively and ef­fi­ciently the se­lected or­gan­i­sa­tions per­form their leg­is­lated func­tions and pro­vide sound cor­po­rate gover­nance. NoUS is invit­ing the cor­po­ra­tions’ staff and indige­nous “clients and po­ten­tial clients” to an­swer an on­line ques­tion­naire at re­viewof­sixn­trbsp.com.

The re­view will ac­cept sub­mis­sions un­til Jan­uary 15 and is due to re­port in March.
