YMAC performance to go under review
The body representing native title in the Pilbara, Yamatji Marlpa Aboriginal Corporation, is having its operations reviewed for the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet.
Along with the Kimberley Land Council, it is one of six native title representative bodies and service providers being examined.
According to the Perth-based management consultant conducting the review, NoUS Group, it is to ascertain how effectively and efficiently the selected organisations perform their legislated functions and provide sound corporate governance. NoUS is inviting the corporations’ staff and indigenous “clients and potential clients” to answer an online questionnaire at reviewofsixntrbsp.com.
The review will accept submissions until January 15 and is due to report in March.
