Wit­ness call for cy­cle crash

A MO­TOR­CY­CLIST killed in a crash at Meelon in the Peel re­gion was rid­ing with a group of six when his Har­ley David­son crashed. Ma­jor Crash of­fi­cers said the 21-year-old died when he failed to ne­go­ti­ate a bend on Sun­day af­ter­noon. “Just be­fore 1pm a group of six mo­tor­cy­clists turned into Burn­side Road from Coolup Road East,” a po­lice spokesman said. “Shortly af­ter, the third mo­tor­cy­clist in the group failed to ne­go­ti­ate a sweep­ing right hand curve, left the road and struck a cul­vert and a tree.” St John Am­bu­lance at­tended but the man had died.
