The PlayStation Experience is back
Sony’s annual extravaganza heads to Anaheim
03California, here we come. Sony has revealed that the fan-friendly PlayStation Experience will return for its third year – and this time, it’ll be showcasing PlayStation’s best and brightest new titles from sunny Anaheim. From Saturday 3 to Sunday 4 December, public and press will flock to the Anaheim Convention Centre to see what Sony has in store…
If PSX’s track record is anything to go by, there’s sure to be something new, shiny and special announced. The inaugural 2014 blowout in Las Vegas featured a goosebumps-inducing reveal trailer for PS4’s best fighting game: Street Fighter V. Last year, San Francisco’s PSX gave us a tantalising glimpse at what turned out to be sleek new MOBA Paragon – then pulses were sent skyrocketing with news of Rez: Infinite, the outstanding PS VRcompatible port of PS2 rhythmaction shooter Rez.
Let’s not forget that Sony loves dropping heavy (and hilarious) hints at PSX for future reveals, too. When Executive VP Shawn Layden oh-so-casually rocked up to last year’s show in a Crash Bandicoot T-shirt, PlayStation gamers everywhere practically exploded. Did this mean what we thought it meant? Sure enough, this year’s E3 brought the sweet promise of a Bandicoot trilogy remaster. Eyes peeled for sartorial Easter eggs this year, everybody.
With the chance to go hands-on with PS4 Pro on 4K TVs, brand-new PS VR demos and developer panels to attend, it’ll be another bumper event for PlayStation fans heading out to the US – and for us, too. Two-day tickets cost $75 and are available now from: http://bit.ly/psx2016
