As you read this the Shenmue I &

II remakes are out, proving there’s always another classic game or two ready for us to replay. There are more on the way too, with these classic PlayStation and PC games heading to PS4 during the next year… The last year has been a rollercoaster of Yakuza fun, from a sixth entry to this month’s Kiwami 2 remake. But it’s news that Sega is set to release remasters of Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 in the next year that has us excited. While these won’t be full remakes in the vein of Kiwami, and are currently only slated for release in Japan, it will mean, once a Western date is confirmed, we’ll be able to play the entire series on PS4.

There’s more Japanese gaming in line with the PS4 remake of the Vita/PS3 hit Steins;Gate, now called Steins;Gate:

Elite. This remake of the classic visual novel will feature new, fully-animated cutscenes and an HD remake of Steins;Gate Phenogram, a collection of ten extra stories from writers including Kotaro Uchikoshi.

Back in the West, the System Shock remake has stalled as the developer seeks new funding, but we’re hoping it’ll still make it to PlayStation 4.

There’s better news from Bluepoint Games. The team behind the Shadow Of The Colossus remake has hinted it’s working on a new project, that’s “even bigger” than SOTC. What could it be?
