Kingdom Hearts III – Re:Mind
Third in the series becomes a true trinity with Kairi too
More action! More juicy lore!
Playable Kairi, and the return of some favourite Final Fantasy faces. You’re getting your money’s worth.
Would it even be Kingdom Hearts if we didn’t wait ages for the next one, and then it turned out to be much larger and more intricate than it initially seemed? The Re:Mind DLC is finally on the horizon, ready to expand even more on KHIII’s ending and deliver more gameplay and juicy, juicy worldbuilding and lore.
Don’t let the hefty price tag put you off – it just indicates how much content is in this thing, including a whopping 13 bosses. Everything we’ve seen so far shows you’re getting your money’s worth. Fan-favourite Final Fantasy characters Aerith, Yuffie, and Leon (Squall) return. Kairi also features heavily, and is finally playable, joining Riku and Sora (who has a new Keyblade form). Sora travels to the Keyblade Graveyard and relives the memories of the Guardians Of
Light. There he re-experiences the battles of those who came before him, giving him a new perspective on the fabled Kingdom Hearts. Meanwhile, the Organisation and Luxu are still after the mysterious sealed black box that only appears after a Keyblade war – a story thread that kept us hanging throughout Kingdom Hearts III.
Will Re:Mind tie up all Kingdom Hearts’ loose ends? Can it ever really end? We doubt it. But you can find out for yourself when Re:Mind comes to PS4 first on 23 January.
SORA TRAVELS TO THE KEYBLADE GRAVEYARD AND RELIVES THE MEMORIES OF THE SEVEN GUARDIANS.
