PS Now for something completely different

-

With way too many hours sunk into Marvel’s Avengers and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales on the horizon, we’re in a bit of a comic-book superhero mood. Loading up PS Now, there are plenty of games to satisfy us, from superhero ones to the comic-inspired.

For fans of the Dark Knight, there’s plenty of Batman. The first three Batman: Arkham games are available, from Asylum through to Origins. Unlike Rocksteady’s entries, Batman:

Arkham Origins isn’t available natively on PS4, so this is a great way to experience WB Montreal’s underrated early Batman tale that saw him meet The Joker for the first time. With the team making the upcoming Gotham Knights it’s worth scoping out.

All three fab LEGO Batman games are also available, as well as DC fighter Injustice: Gods Among Us, and Batman: The Telltale Series, which reimagines the Batman mythos as you make your own choices on Bruce Wayne’s behalf. Speaking of Telltale, its take on fairytale noir comic Fables, the Big-BadWolf-starring The Wolf Among Us, is another classic you shouldn’t miss.

When it comes to the comic-inspired you have all four Sly Cooper games, a series created by Ghost Of Tsushima developer Sucker Punch Productions.

The studio’s style is clear here, albeit with cartoon shaders and plenty of comic-bookstyle ‘whack’ text during the combat.

Sucker Punch later took PlayStation and superheroes to the next level with InFamous, its comicbook-styled universe. Both InFamous and InFamous 2 (including DLC) are available to play as you choose the path for the electricitywielding Cole – will he become a superhero or a supervillain?

?? ?? Batman: The Telltale Series’ drama revolves around balancing crimebusting under the cowl with Bruce Wayne’s private life.
