KATAMARI DAMACY REROLL

The remastered classic is rolling onto PS4

-

Perhaps, like us, you’ve recently returned to Katamari Damacy’s comforting theme song ‘Katamari On The Rocks’. “Don’t worry, do your best!” is a refrain we all need to hear from time to time. But did you know that the game this belter of a tune originated in didn’t come to PAL consoles back in 2004? That sorry situation is being remedied on 20 November, when it finally lands on European PS4s as the high-definition remaster Katamari Damacy Reroll ports the first game in the series to modern hardware.

As well as giving us the chance to finally experience the game for ourselves, this port includes local multiplayer, enabling you and your chums to enjoy a roll-off, with the biggest Katamari earning the fickle approval of the King Of All Cosmos.

If you’re unfamiliar with the PS2 classic Katamari Damacy – which you can be forgiven if you’re a European PlayStation gamer – the plot is as follows: after an all-night bender your old man, the King Of All Cosmos, wipes out all the stars in the sky and it’s up to you, the tiny, put-upon Prince, to replace them. How? By using your spherical Katamari to roll up everything in sight, from pins, needles, shuttlecocks, and bananas, to cats, dogs, people, cows, cars, and even houses. If you don’t fulfil each star’s size requirement in the allotted time, you’ll never hear the end of it from the King Of All Cosmos… even though this was his mess to start with. Don’t worry, do your best, and you’ll repopulate the night sky in no time.

ROLL UP EVERYTHING IN SIGHT; COWS, CARS, PEOPLE.
