Headgear-related shenanigans prove all the rage
Hat Kid has always had a head for getting herself into a whole lot of trouble. Two new DLC packs introduce options for a wardrobe refresh and expansive areas to explore, alongside plenty of new opportunities for headgearrelated hijinks.
The first pack, Seal The Deal, sees the pint-sized purple protagonist set sail aboard an all-new chapter called The Arctic Cruise. Captained by a surly walrus, the SS Literally Can’t Sink is host to a slew of familiar faces from Hat Kid’s adventures and has a number of new timepieces to plot a course for.
This DLC also introduces the aptly named difficulty mode Death Wish as well as new outfits, camera filters, and everything you need for your own cruise-ship photoshoot.
The second pack boasts a theme our games editor would approve of. In Nyakuza Metro, a mafioso moggy strongarms Hat Kid into doing dirty deeds dirt cheap. With a baseball bat in hand, she’s tasked with tracking down and purr-loining ten new timepieces in exchange for a big stack of cheese. Like Seal The Deal, this DLC has plenty of new threads to show you mean business as well as a treasure trove of stickers to find and apply to your bat.
Both packs have been available on PC for a while so it’s great to see them hang up their hats on PS4. Unfortunately, unlike the PC versions of the DLC, it’s sans many of the online multiplayer features introduced on other platforms.
