You can apply for beta access to PS5 by signing up at playstation.com, meaning you can trial new updates and features before everyone else. That includes things like internal NVMe storage upgrades (turn to p19 for more on that), and even the ability to tune 3D audio via your TV speakers by measuring your living room’s sound with the DualSense. Just place it in the middle of the room when setting it up, and it figures out the rest. The beta also gives earlier access to smaller tweaks, like more customisation options in the control centre, and extra ways to track trophies.
