A halfway house between Max Payne and Control, author Alan Wake’s fight against the forces of darkness channels the likes of The Twilight Zone and Twin Peaks. Alan’s wife vanishes when a holiday goes bad. As he looks for her, Alan uses a flashlight to burn away shadowy foes, while finding the events were predicted… in his own writing.
