Saints stick together. Meet the core team of four who kickstart your criminal empire
Often seen shirtless and with a digital-display mask, Kevin is a DJ who loves thrills and knows how to party. Growing up in foster care made him value genuine connections with his friends deeply, and led him on a path to find where he belongs. Like Neenah, this path led him to join another faction, The Idols, though he eventually realises that he’d rather throw in with your own gang of misfits, the Saints.
And then there’s you, of course. As you’d expect from Saints Row, customisation options run deep, allowing you to make someone who resembles your real-life self if you want, or to live out your dreams of being someone different. Pitch shifting might be out, but eight possible voices mean you can sound how you want to too. Your dream is that of the Saints (and the game’s tagline), to be “self made”, to go beyond the student debt and crushing pressure of modern life, and make something your own.
With an MBA, Eli is something of an entrepreneur. He came to Santo Ileso, hoping to make it big in business with his own startup. He’s getting his wish, but not in quite the way he imagined. A little nervous about the whole criminal thing, he’s nevertheless the planner of the group, able to apply his savvy business acumen to this new path, whether he’s laundering money or leveraging social media for some dodgy dealings. With his help, you can make startup culture criminally good.
Every gang needs a good wheel-lady, and Neenah is one of the best. She’s loved cars her whole life, raised as a mechanic in her parents’ garage, and is as at home burning rubber as she is fixing rides up. Like Eli, she came to the city with a different dream – to follow her love of art history and anthropology, which she studied at school. However, she has to throw in with a gang, Los Panteros, to make ends meet. In teaming up with you, she’s able to feel in control of her own fate once again.
