A colossal map packed with activities, the latest Far Cry is a formidable beast. The single-player campaign, which sees revolutionary Dani Rojas take down the oppressive Castillo regime, has been updated with new live-service content since launch, making this the perfect time to jump in. The Yara Edition is bundled with a code for the Croc Hunter Pack DLC, which includes a few powerful weapons and hunter-inspired cosmetics to give you a head start. Other retailers offer the PS5 edition at a similar price (without the DLC), but this PS4 copy includes a free PS5 upgrade.
Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 £12.99 approx. (PS5, game.co.uk) Two great puzzlers for the price of one
A superb rendition of Tetris paired with perhaps the best version of Puyo Puyo (Japan’s popular blob-matching puzzler) that we’ve seen so far makes for the perfect puzzle package. An engaging single-player story mode is an excellent starting point for newcomers while veterans will appreciate the competitive online multiplayer and abundance of local play options. Although the hybrid Puyo Puyo Tetris mode is the focus, Tetris or Puyo purists have the option to play the vanilla versions of either game. No PS5? The native PS4 version is available at a similar price.
Agents Of Mayhem – Day 1 Edition £8.09 approx. (PS4, hit.co.uk) From zero to budget hero
This much-maligned Saints Row spinoff might not quite live up to the dazzling heights of its predecessors, but a beautiful cartoon-inspired art direction and the sprawling, open-world Seoul setting make for a solid superhero adventure. With a huge roster of playable characters, there’s a decent degree of variety in how you can approach its roughly 15-hour campaign of combat-centric missions. Each hero comes complete with their own unique weapons, dialogue, and skill tree to discover, while the abundance of side-content offers plenty of bang for your buck.
