BLAZBLUE: CROSS TAG BATTLE

FORMAT PS4 PUB PQUBE DEV ARC SYSTEM WORKS REVIEW #151, 6/10
Even hopping into Arc System Works’ lobbies for the crossover fighter on a Wednesday lunchtime – hardly prime fight o’ clock – we have no problem finding someone in the mood for a battered fish and chips. Even if, unfortunately, both the fish and chips are my own tag-team fighters (isn’t that what those Persona characters are called?).
While lobbies are never bustling with opponents, it’s always far from sparse. Connections are made quickly, and the matches run silky smooth. This is certainly no Cross Lag Battle, as the code’s more than up to snuff for battles as you’d expect from the veteran hands responsible for the likes of Guilty Gear and Dragon Ball FighterZ. But the competition is about as tough as you’d expect.
It’s not a fighter we’d choose over many of PS4’s other offerings (some by the same dev) but the online experience is a smooth groove. Ian Dean
