Af­ter de­vel­op­ment on Prince Of Per­sia: The Sands Of Time fin­ished Ubisoft be­gan con­cep­tu­al­is­ing ideas for where the se­ries could go next. One it landed on was Prince Of Per­sia: As­sas­sins, where you’d act as body­guard to the AI-con­trolled tit­u­lar prince, who was a young boy. Feel­ing that mov­ing the Prince away from be­ing the main char­ac­ter was a step too far, the promis­ing, and al­ready As­sas­sin’s-Creed-like de­signs were al­lowed to de­velop into a sep­a­rate project. The rest, as they say, is his­tory.

The robes stem from the Prince Of Per­sia con­cept.
