Half a job

Why can’t developers finish games properly before they come out? Okay it’s nice getting DLC to prolong the life of something you really love, but you need to have a complete game to love in the first place. (Looking at you, Battlefield V!) If something’s janky from the start, I’m not going to pick it up again when the patches and DLC arrive weeks down the line. Jes Ackerley via email Some of the team are old enough to remember the days before DLC and patches, and while that didn’t guarantee games free of bugs, we did see far fewer outright glitchy or unfinished ones. As regards Battlefield V, though, what’s there is good and we reckon it has the potential to be brilliant, so do stick with it.
