We really do live in a lucky country.

While the rest of the world continues to battle lockdowns and faces not seeing their families over Christmas, Australia is gearing up for an incredible summer as COVID-19 slowly becomes a thing of the past.

In the lead up to Christmas 2020, Plug has played with and reviewed some of the best gadgets on the market – from over-ear headphones and wireless earbuds to ring lights and boomboxes.

We're all tentatively dipping our toes back into the party season, so it's time to ring in 2021 and enjoy the searing hot Aussie summer with the latest and greatest tech products.

A favourite for us this season is BlueAnt, who makes some incredible speakers with top-notch sound and chic designs.

We've also got some fantastic health and beauty products which will help you get into party-perfect shape,

from the Fitbit Versa 3, Panasonic hair dryers and straighteners and a review on Xiaomi's new eBike.

2020 was a bit of a lacklustre year when it came to product launches and events, with big-ticket trade shows such as CES Las Vegas and EFA cancelled, but we still saw a number of incredible and advanced gadgets pushed out to the market.

We saw the Motorola Razr get an interesting revamp and 5G support – check out our review on page 48 for this – and of course our yearly Apple launch with the introduction of the iPhone 12.

Technology companies have used the lull of 2020 to work hard behind the scenes on research and development, so we can expect 2021 to be a blockbuster year for product launches.
