Three ex­er­cises to help trim and tone

Per­sonal trainer Lizzy Wil­liamson has cre­ated this two-minute work­out to help tone your thighs so that you’ll be happy to head to the beach this sum­mer in a short skirt.You can even do th­ese ex­er­cises while you watch TV (and don’t we all love a bit of multi-task­ing!).

Most thigh work­outs in­clude squats and lunges, but Lizzy likes to mix it up a bit. “Th­ese moves are a bit of fun, but believe me, your thighs will be talking to you straight­away,” she says. “I of­ten sug­gest th­ese moves to clients whose knees don’t re­act well to squats and lunges. On top of the leg work­out, you’ll feel dif­fer­ent parts of your core ac­ti­vat­ing, from right around the side of your waist to the side of your lower back.”
