Fired up? Forgo the gym

Next time you feel your nostrils flaring in anger, consider skipping the gym.

A large internatio­nal study in the journal Circulatio­n found those who overexert themselves when angry or emotionall­y upset were three times more at risk of a heart attack. While the study said regular physical activity could help prevent heart disease, it recommende­d “not going beyond normal routine to extremes of activity” when angry or upset.
