Stepping down

-

Feel like your blood pressure is rising? The solution may be as simple as taking a stroll around the block. A US study of more than 83,000 postmenopausal women found that walking 30 minutes each day was associated with a significantly lower risk of high blood pressure. If you can’t do it every day, then pick up the pace. A faster walking speed – think 3 kilometres per hour or more – was found to provide the same benefits regardless of how long or how far the women walked. So get those steps in quick!
